You will often hear stories about people being arrested for possession of cannabis and facing ridiculous amounts of time. Rarely will you hear a story as bizzare as the one Charlo Greene is facing right now.
Greene became a viral star when footage of her quitting her job. Did I mention that at the time she was a new anchor in Alaska and she quit live on-air. She left her job on air after being forced to mention a raid on the Alaska Cannabis Club. She owns that club. So you see where there could’ve been a difference of opinion between her and her employer.
The clip would become an Internet smash, making Greene the face of fight to legalize cannabis across the country. While Greene was enjoying her new found fame and building up her brand both on and offline, she was still fighting a bunch of charges from her time running the Alaska Cannabis Club.
Charlo spoke exclusively with The Guardian about her trial and the possibility of facing 24-years in prison for her alleged part in selling cannabis.
