Music and cannabis has gone hand-and-hand since, well the beginning. A legendary music store on the West Coast is going to take that connection one step further thanks to a big decision.

Last year, the iconic California-based music chain Amoeba Music announced that it planned on converting the jazz section of its Berkeley location into a marijuana dispensary—and now that dream will become a reality.
According to The Vinyl Factory, after its initial application failed, Amoeba’s flagship store has won a license to dispense medical cannabis.
We were awarded the Berkeley dispensary permit tonight!! I am beyond excited. Marc Weinstein and Dave Prinz (the founders of Amoeba Music), Amber E. Senter, Mary Jane Patton and I, plus everyone else on the Berkeley Compassionate Care Center team, are so thankful,” wrote the store’s Debby Goldsberry on Facebook. “We are planning the most epic dispensary ever at the Amoeba location on Telegraph. The dispensary will go where the jazz room is now. My mind is kind of blown right now! #soexcited“
Amoeba’s San Francisco location already has a medical marijuana doctor’s office and will be converting its jazz and classical room into a dispensary with its own shop front, called Berkeley Compassionate Care Collective or BC3.
According to Fact Mag, after a few more months of approval and processing the dispensary will open its doors.
So, if your kids all of sudden develop a huge interest in Jazz vinyls, you might want to ask some questions.
