Macklemore and Ryan Lewis crossed-over from indie darlings to pop superstars thanks the success of their debut album, The Heist. The album spawned several big singles including “Thrift Store”, “Same Love” and “Can’t Hold Us.” The Seattle natives are set to release a new set of music for fans.
Macklemore released a new single online recently titled, “Drug Dealer.” Ironic being that Mack speaks about his addiction to perscription pills in a new documentary, Prescription For Change: Ending America’s Opioid Crisis. The hour-long documentary features a discussion between Macklemore and President Barack Obama and debuted yesterday on MTV.
In the documentary, Mack speaks about his addiction to percocets and other opiods. The film also features the lives of 3 other people dealing with perscription drug abuse.
