Last week, several more states joined the ranks of others who have either allowed residents to consume cannabis medically or reecreationally. One state that was the topic of much discussion was California. Proposition 64 was promoted by many cannabis insiders as a solution for prohibition. Others saw the bill as a way for big business to come in and eventually create a Walmart of cannabis, knocking the small farmers and businesses out the way.
WIRED took a brief look at California’s new laws and what could come from it. Will we see the Phillip Morris of cannabis come out of California and is that an good move for the industry?
