Cannabis isn’t just for teenagers anymore. Well, it really just wasn’t for them. With the decrimilization of cannabis happening across the country, and medical marijuana becoming more available for patients, it’s no shock that senior citizens are getting in on the high.
After dealing with her mothers Alzheimers, Bay Area resident Carrie Tice came up with a great idea. After noticing changes in her mom after introducing her to the plant, she thought that more of the elderly would benefit from experiencing cannabis. Her company, Octavia was created from the idea. She would later partnered with a marijuana sales company, Viva to form Octavia Wellness. Together, the throw parties for seniors in the Bay to assist with their canna-needs.
