“Just say no” was a real life thing that many of us had to memorize as children. If you grew up in the late 80’s/early 90’s, then the war on drugs was in full effect and Nancy Reagan’s motto of “just say no” was a chant for everyone who was against the scourge of illegal drugs.
The war on drugs in large part targert heroin, cocaine, crack and marijuana. No one ever thought that the pills people take everyday for pains, mental and physical, would become something you can abuse.
