Sacremento emcee Mozzy created a major buzz for himself last year after releasing a slew of mixtapes and colloborative projects. That buzz got so big that the Northern Cali native found himself fighting off major labels in an urge to stay as independent as possible. That independence might end up either helping or hurting him when it comes to XXL.
The legendary Hip-Hop publication is set to release it’s annual “Freshman” list. Mozzy is nominated, which should be cause to celebrate. But Mozzy is being optimistic in his new freestyle, “Dear XXL”. The covers have been met with lackluster reviews over the last few years after fans complained the artist being picked. Mozzy is one of those fans.
