Conscious T.I. aint going nowhere! Many people, myself included, wondered if T.I. (real name Clifford Harris) militant turn was just something for social media. His posts and Tweets confronting police violence, racism and more sparked a new musical revolution for the rapper. His collaborative project, US or Else showcased that side.
T.I. took the project to another level when he turned it into a movie. The US or Else film debuted on BET this month. Tip spoke about the film to CNN prior to the airing.
“Police brutality is really just a tentacle to a larger problem — the racial divide and the systemic racism that goes on from the highest of highs to the lowest of the low of society in America,” T.I. told CNN heading into Monday.
After the airing, a one-on-one discussion with Angela Rye on CNN, on the topics covered by the album and film will air.
