What’s bigger for a New York City emcee, performing on the Summer Jam main stage or performing in the New York Times office? I’ll have to ask Joey Bada$$ that question one day.
Days after it was announced he would be one of many artist who will be performing at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert. After years of playing the festival stage, he’s finally been bumped up to the mainstage. That’s a huge accomplishment for Joey. His new album All-American Bada$$ doesn’t have any radio friendly records and he’s not attached to a big machine of a record label so to find his name alongside the likes of Migos and Trey Songz is a major accomplishment.
Another feather that Joey can add to his cap is putting on a live performance in the New York Times offices. Joey recently hit the offices of the legendary newspaper to perform cuts off his latest album and answer questions from the audience.

Joey Badass, a rapper, is in Brooklyn to perform some songs for us. Post your questions for Joey in the comments, and NYT reporter Andrew R Chow will ask him some.
