We often speak about, changing the image of the user over here at CashColorCannabis. We’ve seen so many different negative views of cannabis consumers, that in order for anyone to really benefit from decriminalization there would have to be a change with how users are viewed in media.
Veteran actor Sam Elliot and Nick Offerman show a new side of stoners in the new film, Hero. The film, stars Elliot as Lee Hayden, an over-the-hill Western actor exiled to voiceover work who smokes weed with his dealer Jeremy, played by Nick Offerman and dreams of once and future on-film glory. When he’s diagnosed with cancer, Lee is forced to come to grips with his mortality, past sins and lost opportunities.
The film will debuted in limited release starting June 9th. The films writer, Brett Haley mentioned as to why he chose platinum cookies as the strain that Elliot and Offerman spark up to.
“Platinum Cookies is an indica-sativa hybrid I came across in my travels,” Haley told The Cannabist. “It was a fun, chill weed — and I liked the name.”
