The friendship between Kanye West and JAY Z may be over.
Last week, JAY released his 13th studio album 4:44 via his platform Tidal and a special collaboration with Sprint. The deal spawned one of Hov’s most critically acclaimed projects and fastest selling. For all the love, there was certainly some sour spots that came with last weeks release.
One of the tracks on the project, “Kill JAY Z” finds Jay taking shots at his one-time friend and collaborator
“But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without blinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f**k was he thinkin’?”
Ye’ responded by announcing on Monday that he was suing Tidal. Now we can officially announce that his music has been pulled from the platform.
West is currently working on a new album that will debut on all streaming platforms, not just Tidal.
