“Let Me Ride”: 25th Anniversary of Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic” (Video)

25-years-ago Dr. Dre fully liberated himself from the legacy of N.W.A. and Ruthless Records and set out on a path to create a legacy on his own.

The Chronic, the debut solo album was his first and last album with Death Row records. Before he would separate with Suge and the gang, he’d release an album that put G-funk on the map, reminded us of the greatness of George Clinton and introduced to a guy name Snoop Dogg and his Dogg Pound.

The album would go on to sell more than 5 million copies and spawn hits like “Nutting But A G Thang” “Fuck With Dre Day” and “Let Me Ride
