The death of Long Island rapper Lil Peep has certainly resonated within the rap community.

Peep passed away from an overdose of fentanyl. His death led to many to artists like Russ and Vic Mensa call-out artists who promote use of prescription drug use.

Some artists are now hearing the call. Recently, artists like Smokepurrp, Lil Pump and Mozzy have made a 2018 resolution to end their use of drugs like Xanax and codeine.

Mozzy, a longtime codeine drinker took IG to ask others to join him in pouring out their lean.

IF U DOWN WITH ME PLEASE READ THANKS IN ADVANCE I really didn’t want to post this video but It was Sent to me about 6 Times literally So I thought about it long & hard check this out I’m not a hypocrite a judge ,doctor ,priest or a counselor I’m just a individual who came from both sides of this scenario. Anybody I know that’s drinking having a cup or making this particular drug apart of your daily or occasional routine the choice is yours. I haven’t offered my opinion to my potnas friends or family unless they ask me I believe in letting grown adults make their own adult decisions that suits them best. & when they do I can only tell them what God did for me & what worked in my favor I haven’t had a cup a sip or a taste of drank in 7 and half years & it was the true complete turn around of my entire life it was best thing that ever happen to me physically mentally & completely financially after decades of drinking at one point I lost everything I had my family my mind & everything positive God had for me it wasn’t till God was about to take my freedom again for the last time before I woke up & finally let it go it’s been one of greatest accomplishments till this day This drug is a very intense addiction I seen ppl die & destroy their whole lives & Loose it all for it & I still remain quiet because I’m a street cat & I still Mind my business hard & I still have some understanding to the code I come from & this a decision you have to make on your own The greatest power of this drug is making u think you have it under control especially when you still able to get money & function. I love my brothers & my ppl I pray everyday they let go & somedays I feel like a coward because I can’t tell them how I really feel Because like I say I did what God put on heart & what worked for me it so many things we can die from or loose our freedom behind & this one just ain’t the one for me I’m 🙏🏿🙏🏿 for all who addicted to this shit. the choice is yours. I ain’t hating. I’m just finally on the outside looking in I love the game. I love the culture I love the streets I just hate the results of this one. One love to all my ppl
