The weekend is upon us. A majority of people are waiting for that one moment when they break free from the constraints of a 9-to-5 and commence to doing ratchet s÷^t.

You can’t do it without music and CashColorCannabis got your back. Here are a few projects that you should add to your weekend playlist.

For those who do have a 9-to-5, Paid In Amerikka has something for you. Comprised of producer LastNameGood and emcee J. Coop, Paid In Amerikka’s latest project, No Free Lunch is a mantra for those living everyday lives. Financial struggles, family issues and the need to break the chains of mediocre living are constant themes throughout the project.

Don’t fret. All that may sound like audio depression, but this far from that. Coop’s storytelling style coupled with Good’s production make No Free Lunch a low-key banger.

Check out for yourself here.

If you’ve been following CashColorCannabis for a while, then the name Kris J isn’t new. We’ve been playing Kris’ music for a while and have become big fans of his music. He was also the very first guest on the CashColorCannabis Podcast.

He released his EP The Prelims a few months ago. The album was a great sign of growth from the stoned out emcee. More than just bars, Kris gives us emotion and feelings. Tracks like “Last Place” find Kris pining over a lost love leave you feeling like you needed to hear more.

He’s been releasing visuals off the project, but that’s no reason to forget the project they come from.
