Election Night: These States Went Legal Last Night

Midterm
Michigan, Missouri and Utah go green on election night

The Midterm elections delivered the country many highlights as usual. The House of Representatives is now in the hands of the Democrats, we have a slew of new Governors and some more states joined the ranks of states who “yes” to cannabis.

Last night, Michigan became the 10th state to legalize recreational cannabis after passing proposal 1.

Missouri residents passed Amendment 2. The measure that will tax cannabis sales at 4 percent, with the proceeds funding veterans health care programs. There were three proposals on the ballot concerning cannabis. Of the three, it was the only proposal that allowed for the ability for a home-grow.

Shortly after, Missouri became the 31st state in the country to allow for medicine use, Utah became the 32nd.

North Dakota voted down Measure 3 which would allow residents to grow, consume and possess as much weed as they want.
