Late last week WQHT-FM HOT 97 hosted the hottest holiday concert of the season: Hot for the Holidays, presented by Heineken. Hip Hop and R&B fans packed Kings Theater to see captivating performances by Trey Songz, Tory Lanez, Lil Baby, Gunna, and Flipp Dinero! The sold out event was complete with many surprise guests including Fabolous, Fatman Scoop, Desiigner, A Boogie, Young MA, Casanova, Uncle Murda, Don Q. G4 Boyz, Trap Manny, Lil TJ, and Jay Critch. Busta Ryhmes and Kevin Liles were spotted backstage helping make Hot for the Holidays the ultimate holiday Hip Hop event!
Hot 97 Who’s Next winner Rajan opened the show, warming up the stage for some of the hottest performances from Lil Baby, Gunna, and Flipp Dinero. HOT 97’s legendary DJs and on-air hosts including Funk Flex, Megan Ryte, Nessa, TT Torrez, DJ Bobby Trends, DJ Camilo along with DJ Wallah and DJ Spazo kept the party going.
In the midst of the King of R&B debate, Tory Lanez serenaded the ladies with all of his hits, singing in Spanish and even a cover of R&B Legend R. Kelly’s Bump and Grind. “They don’t want no smoke” said Lanez. The crowd lost it as Trey Songz touched the stage reminding us that he’s been doing this for a long time performing all his classics and even bringing out Fabolous.
DJ Megan Ryte brought out friends Casanova, Uncle Murda and Young MA while Funk Flex shook the stage bringing out Fatman Scoop, A Boogie, Don Q, Trap Manny, Lil TJ, and Jay Critch.
