If you were in Time Square this week for NYE, you we’re met by “The Weed Head.”
Dasheeda Dawson, also known as “The Weed Head” became the first minority-led cannabis company to be featured on a Times Square billboard.
The promotion for her book, “How to Succeed in the Green Rush” flashed before the millions who marched through Times Square to celebrate the new year.
The Times Square campaign is part Honeysuckle Magazine’s initiative to highlight minority and women-owned businesses.
The promotion came at the right time. Recently, Gov. Andrew Cuomo threw his support behind statewide legalization.
