Last night, during the Grammy awards, one of the most unexpected moments in the history of the award show happened.
The Grammy for “Best Rap Album” came back to the Bronx thanks to Cardi B.
Cardi B took home the trophy last night, besting Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, Mac Miller and Travis Scott.
Before Ebro prepares his rant and Funk Flex gives us his 2 cents, let’s reflect on one of the better moments of her time on the podium.
Nervous, she took to the mic. Visibly shaking and clearly, in awe of her own victory, she says to the crowd, ” The nerves are so bad. Maybe I should start smoking weed.”

The crowd broke out in laughter, as they should. She nervously stumbled through the rest of her speech, but that didn’t take away from the moment.
I wished I could’ve handed her a joint. I can’t say that I’m the biggest fan of her music. I don’t have to be a fan of her music to be happy for her today. We watched a woman who humbly took center stage in front of a room of fans and naysayers and braved it all with a smile.
Rap purists and Nicki Minaj fans will most certainly spend most of the day explaining why she didn’t deserve the honor of becoming the first woman to win “Best Rap Album.” Before the criticism comes, we at CashColorCannabis take time to say, this joint is for you Cardi.
