This Thursday, Georgia will decide whether or not it becomes a state that allows for cannabis and hemp cultivation for medical purposes. A lot is at stakes as you can imagine and not everyone is voicing support for this.
Ahead of the vote for HB324 sherriffs in North Georgia wrote a letter against the passing of the bill.
“We feel that this is a danger to our society and our communities,” said Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk, “We feel the bill the way it is written have far too many questions to bring about.”
“The Sheriffs have long supported the use of low THC oil for children with severe seizure disorders but not the expansion to include other medical conditions,” the sheriffs said in a signed statement after the conference.
They sherrifs worry that te bill is rushed and worry about who will fund it as well.
Vote for HB324 will come this Thursday in Atlanta.
