After joining Civilized on several projects in the cannabis space last year, including her first speaking appearance in Canada, Chelsea Handler has taken yet another leap with the upstart lifestyle brand: she’s signed on as an investor. The best-selling author, comedian and activist has appeared in nearly a dozen Civilized events across Canada and the U.S., and regularly shares the stage with Civilized Publisher Derek Riedle at cannabis events.

That conversation inspired a successful cross-Canada speaking tour: “A Civilized Conversation with Chelsea Handler“, just weeks ahead of cannabis legalization in Canada. The tour made national headlines for its fresh approach to transforming the cannabis narrative and challenging outdated stereotypes.
