Next Friday, the second annualNational Cannabis Policy Summit will take place at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., bringing together leaders and activists in cannabis policy and the cannabis industry to discuss important issues relevant to their communities and businesses.
This year’s policy summit will feature wide-ranging discussions on the importance of allowing veterans access to medical cannabis to the role of the media in reshaping the narrative of the war on drugs. The summit will also address the potential for the cannabis industry to provide a second chance to many victims of that war.
Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) will deliver the keynote address.

The National Cannabis Festival takes place the next day, Saturday, April 20 (4/20) at the RFK Festival Grounds at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. The festival includes four educational pavilions focusing on the intersection of cannabis policy and culture, hemp and CBD, health and wellness, and cannabis cultivation. Attendees can engage in discussions on the medicinal benefits of cannabis, speak with medical professionals and dispensary owners, and focus their minds with free yoga sessions. In addition to education programming, the festival will also host a wide range of exhibitors offering the best cannabis accessories and lifestyle brands.
