Today, history was made in the state of Georgia when Gov. Brian Kemp signed HB324 into law.
HB324 will allow for the sale and cultivation of medical marijuana in the state of Georgia. This is a huge win for patients in the state who prior to this, could not legally purchase mmj.
“Instead of crossing state lines, breaking numerous laws in the process, these families can now stay in our great state,” Kemp said. “We are ensuring that these families can purchase what works for their loved ones without creating a slippery slope.”
While issues such as social equity were not addressed in HB324, the passing of the bill is a good step towards getting the conversation started.
