Baltimore’s Cannabis Royal Couple & 420: the Holy Matrimony of Dispense Queen and Dispense King

Black couple 420 loving each other

420 is on the horizon and a certain weed-loving couple is getting married. We’re taking a ride back up the East Coast to the DMV to meet the most royal Black cannacouple in Baltimore.

Known as Dispense Queen and Dispense King, this powerful unit serves our community with through their business Dispense Throne. And they have the grand dream of becoming Baltimore’s first Black cannabis business owners.

Kick back to learn what drives them and what will make their upcoming 420 wedding phenomenal.

Trials of Dispense Queen

I didn’t get the Disney origin story of how the two met each other. But we’ll review how they each had their fateful meeting with cannabis. And how that shapes their lives today.

Starting with Dispense Queen (DQ, the Queen), she’s been steady with weed for 20 years. Over that time she experimented with a variety of methods and went full science nerd on the subject.

So when 2007 rolled around, she was able to apply her science and lab skills in a legal cannabis market.

DQ leans on the medicinal benefits of our favorite green for rheumatoid arthritis. Her condition is severe enough to require chemotherapy to help slow and stop cell damage. Using her research, she started a medicated edibles regimen to alleviate symptoms for the disease and chemo.

Overall, cannabis enabled the Queen to be a present parent and partner who’s not hampered by physical limitations.

Dispense King’s Awakening

Dispense King’s (DK, the King) origin starts with recreational use. But it turned into a path of healing due to chronic back pain he experienced since a teen. He didn’t want opiates, so he choose to live with the pain until he embraced the leafy meds.

Fun developed into purpose when he noticed the lack of representation in the cannabis market. Specifically in Baltimore and Maryland as a whole, he saw that Black people were used for economic exploitation.

So the King sought out to change our narrative in the industry ignoring our skills but taking our dollars.

A Cannabis Mission in Baltimore

DQ and DK combined forces to build, maintain and grow Dispense Throne. Their mission is to create an atmosphere of empowerment and equality among people of color in Baltimore. Especially, Black folk.

They provide support and inclusion for people of color in the industry, no matter their position. Their empowerment and support means positioning us to have say and direct influence in our market.

We are apart of cannabis. And we belong here.

The Queen teaches about delivery methods, the effects of weed and methods of controlling pain management. Both she and the King are ready to own a medical dispensary to help more patients.

And to inspire future Black dispensary owners.

420 Wedding: Right to Choose

Their Royal Wedding is going down this upcoming Saturday for 4/20! There are two major themes: the color green and the message of “choice.”

Choice reflects the environment of the ceremony AND reception.

A good wedding always has an open bar, right? Well, theirs will have dabs of terp sauce and pre-rolls for guests.

The aim is to create respect: THC and CBD are treated like alcohol for enjoyment and accessibility.
