You can take the man out of the streets, but can’t take the streets out of the man. That:s how Memphis police feel about Blocboy JB.
The Memphis native and Yo Gotti affiliate was arrested last week and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cannabis) and a weapon.
Out on bail, JB gave his feeling about the arrest and the MPD.
“Police frozed my card. Took my cars and money,” he wrote. “Dey tryna say Ima drug dealer. I bought everything I ever owned off show money. Wat I look like when I get paid for shows, ” said the rapper with IG story.
The rapper’s lawyer claims he was not the target of the raid in which 20 people were detained. This is the second time BlocBoy found himself behind bars.
He’s also not the first rapper in the last weeks to be arrested after police thought trafficking might be in play. Boosie Badazz was locked up and held without bond in Georgia before a judge finally granted him one.
