If you’re a fan of Seth McFarlane’s adult cartoon American Dad, then you know the show has taken on the topic of cannabis plenty of times.
Most of those times we’re short references and they almost always centered around Jeff Fisher-Smith. Jeff is the husband of Hayley Smith, daughter of main character Stan Smith. Since he’s appeared on screen, a weed cloud has followed.
None of the previous scenes combined could’ve matched what they did recently.
For season 14, the wrtiters took a stab at doing a full episode dedicated to weed.
“Jeff and the Dank Ass Weed Factory” is a twist on “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” After being the butt of jokes thanks to his constant weed smoking, Jeff becomes the center of attention when he finds a golden ticket to Tommy Tokes Dank Ass Weed Factory.
Jeff doesn’t go alone. Stan Smith, who is anti-weed, tags along with Jeff. Stan’s motives are the opposite of Jeff’s. Stan is on a mission to steal an everlasting edible from Tommy Tokes (played by Snoop Dogg) stash for his boss, Avery Bullock.
Hijinks and shenanigans ensued from there of course. There was a lot to dislike about the episode. It does play up to a lot of tired stoner stereotypes, and it is a Jeff episode. Tommy Tokes played by Snoop Dogg and his Snoopma Loompa’s make for a few jokes.
This episode was definitely one for the smokers out there.
