Marijuana Venture Magazine’s Retail and Dispensary (RAD) Expo, a national trade show focused on the retail cannabis industry, will return to the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Ore. from Wednesday, Oct. 23 through Thursday, Oct. 24.

With the intention to provide cannabis retailers with everything they may need to open and operate a business, RAD Expo exhibitors will include companies who supply goods and services to existing and future retailers in the legal cannabis space. Retail-specific exhibitors will offer resources on everything from flooring and point-of-sale software to packaging, marketing, design and additional professional services.

The RAD Expo focuses exclusively on the needs of retail dispensary owners, which differentiates the expo from a variety of industry trade shows highlighting cultivation. “The RAD Expo is the only conference where we know that almost everyone we talk to will be a potential client or partner because of the focus on retail development and brands,” said Jeff LaPenna, CEO of The Peak Beyond, a technology company aimed at retailers.

The RAD Expo will feature presentations from industry veterans to speak about successful entrepreneurship and topics including merchandising, partnership management, interior store design and retail operations. The 2019 show will focus heavily on CBD products and CBD brands with a presence in health grocery stores, luxury retailers, pet stores and other retail categories that carry hemp-derived products.

“The RAD Expo provides everything you would need to open a dispensary, from your point-of-sale system to your in-store décor, to your cannabis supplier and your display jars,” said Smokus Focus CEO, Sam Whetsel. “We will definitely be participating again.”
