The building that once cranked out the smell of coffee will soon process hemp.
In Houston, a building that at one time was the home for Maxwell House will now belong to Elemental Processing, a hemp production company.
The announcement comes months after Texas Gov. Greg Abbot signed House Bill 1325 into law which legalized hemp production in the state of Texas.
Elemental is project to produce a 100,000,000 pounds of hemp biomass per year. That should equate to $947 million dollars.
