On the heels of the MLB’s decision to change their policies towards cannabis, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones predicts that the National Football League may move in the same direction.
In an interview with 105 the Fan in Dallas made these remarks when asked about the leagues policy towards cannabis.
“I think the world is sensitive to the issue regarding marijuana,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM). “It’s also an issue contemporarily where we’re excited about being in step with the social and legal scene as it goes forward. And so, we not only have the interest of competitiveness in mind when it comes to any type of substance. We have the issue of the law, and we have the issue of the society focus on it.”
The leagues cannabis is currently banned in the league.
Jones lost a key player on his defense this year when Defensive Lineman David Irving left the league after issues with the leagues drug policy.
