I can say with all honesty, that we have had some great musical talents have been part of the show this year.
This year, we went outside the studio for a few of our shows. SXSW, A3C and Atlantabis City Market gave us great backgrounds for artists to share stories and joints.
Take for instance our episodes with Drumma Boy Fresh and Roscoe Dash. These two share the honor of knowing the origin story of the hit record “No Hands”. From the true owner of the record to how Wale was treated at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, we all learned more than we could’ve guessed.
We had big chiefers likes Tuki Carter, Sonny Digital, Wily J. Peso. We had acted with big hits like Q Money and major indies like Translee and Seddy Hendrix.
Music2Smoke2 didn’t just stop at rappers. Our list or production talents are on par with some of your favorite Hip-Hop blogs. Fresh off his hit record with Lil Duval, producer Mr. Hanky came by to share his insight on making a hit and how to properly sample record. June the Jenius gave Yo Gotti one of the biggest songs of the year. He also came by the show to announce that he was working on the Meek Mill/Nipsey Hussle collab album. While we may never know if that project will ever see the light of day, we can always run back his interview and dream.
Not to mention Fabo, Skyzoo, Willie the Kid, Bizzare, Domani Harris, music exec Nick Love and more came through to add their stories to the catalog.
