December 15th 1992, Dr. Dre passed the world, ‘The Chronic’

If you’re like me, you’ve searched high and low online for certain albums. No matter you looked, you just couldn’t find it.

One of the many musical works that are not available for streaming right now is Dr. Dre’s debut album, The Chronic.

Dre’s first try after leaving Ruthless records and the worlds introduction to Snoop Dogg and Death Row records has remained unavailable.

In a few days, that will no longer be the case.

Now that the Death Row catalog is owned by EOne, the company decided to finally release the album to music platforms world wide.

“Fans now have another reason to celebrate on what has become a national holiday, celebrating all things cannabis-related – where legally allowed and in moderation of course,” said Chris Taylor, eOne’s Global President, Music & Live, in a statement.

“Working with the Death Row catalogue is like working with the legendary recordings of Elvis, Chuck Berry and the Beatles. These historic artifacts should be heard by all music lovers and we are so happy Dr. Dre has opened this door so everyone can experience the brilliance of this seminal work.”

No word on if Dr. Dre has any connection to the release or EOne, but as a fan of music, it’s good to know a classic will be availble to stream soon.

Dre recently found out that The Chronic was going to entered into the Library of Congress.
