The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the day-to-day for most people. Aside from having to socially distance, something as small as shaking hands could lead to the spread to the virus. So what do you think pre-rolls could do to a group of people?

A product recall in Michigan could shine the light on the potential dangers that can come from hand-rolled pre-rolls in this new world.

Recently, Michigan’s Marijuana Regulatory Agency recalled about 3,200 pre-rolls and suspended a processing center’s license for 14 days after an employee at the site allegedly licked one of the pre-rolls while making the product, MLive reports.

The incident occurred at a Bay City processing center called, The Dispo.

The recall affects pre-rolled blunts and joints produced at the center and sold at medical and recreational dispensaries across the state.

State regulators caught wind of the potentially tainted pre-rolls and placed a hold.

Consumers who have these contaminated pre-rolls in their possession should return them to the provisioning center or retailer where they were purchased for proper disposal,” the Marijuana Regulatory Agency said in a statement. “Provisioning centers must notify patients and caregivers who purchased these pre-rolls of the recall.

“Consumers who have experienced symptoms after using these products should report their symptoms and product use to their physician. Consumers are requested to report any adverse product reactions to the (Marijuana Regulatory Agency) via email: MRA-Enforcement@michigan.gov or via phone: 517-284-8599.”
