In 2002, when Nappy Roots delivered their stellar debut album Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz, very few would’ve guessed that more than 20-years later, the group name would be more synonymous with craft beer than rap.

Nappy Roots members, Skinny Deville, and Scales took their love of beer and turned it into a business. Joining a long list of emcees who have launched their own been lines, their craft beer company, Atlantucky Brewing is set to make major strides in the industry.

We had the chance to record an episode of our podcast at the Atlantucky Brewing offices recently. After a few beers, we sat down to speak about the line, making a name for themselves in the world of craft beer, the perfect pairing of weed and craft beer, Breyonna Taylor, and more.
