Cannabis start-up Leune had a great week because they just received some major funding for some high-profile names.
NBA stars Carmelo Anthony and John Wall join agent Rich Paul and Lala Anthony helped the California-based company raise $5 million dollars.
Leune will reportedly use the money for marketing and product expansion as the company eyes an ever-widening customer base, driven by the expectation that more states will legalize recreational marijuana.
Leune describes itself as a “California born lifestyle brand”. Their lineup currently includes cannabis in flower, rolled and vaporizer form.
Melo and Wall join a long list of current and former NBA players who have shown interest in the cannabis industry. As a result, we’ve seen changes in how the league treats cannabis use.
