Protecting Patients, Family Business and Learning On the Job: 3 Takeaways From Our Interview with US420Doc
Recently, CashColorCannabis had the chance to speak with Dr. Alexander and his daughter Erin. The dynamic duo behind US420Doc is hoping to help get as many people in the state of Georgia signed up for medical cannabis cards. While the two are the face of the brand, US420Doc is truly a family affair.
After our full interview goes live, look at 3 takeaways from our 30-minute conversation with the two.
Risking It All
Dr. Alexander has been in the medical field for some time now. He was driven to take a look at medical cannabis after his experience working with cancer patients. He would recommend cannabis for pain and nausea to his cancer patients, even if giving out that information could mean the end of his career.
“I was desperate for them (patients),” said Dr. Alexander. “I was willing to put my license on the line to be able to take care of these people.”

Family Business
US420Doc is a family business. Matter of fact, the whole family helps Dr. Alexander bring everything to life (shout-out to his son for helping Dr. Alexander find the right Zoom background).
His daughter Erin, a medical cannabis patient herself, is a key figure in the business. The two speak about how Erin’s health issues prompted him to start thinking outside traditional medicine.
“My daughter got sick, and she has a terrible condition called HS. It is very, very painful. We needed to come up with another alternative. So thinking outside that box, I started learning that cannabis could be used for pain, and when we started realizing it could be used for pain, that’s when I jumped in for her.”
Real Life Experiences
He also had his moment when he realized that a certain level of pain and sickness couldn’t be fixed with just an aspirin.
“I remember getting food poisoning once. I was on the floor holding my stomach. I thought I was dying. And then I watched my wife throw up constantly, wipe her mouth, and sit back down and work. And I couldn’t believe it, but I knew what kind of pain I was in. And I said that if people are going through this with chemotherapy and they can’t get any relief, I gotta do something.”
