NECANN Recap: Reunions, Fresh Links, and Plenty of Smoke
CashColorCannabis took a trip to Boston for the NECANN conference. This would be our first conference of the year. In addition to Boston, NECANN will travel to Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Florida, New York, and Vermont. For my money, Boston has to be the best.
The 2-day conference at Hynes Convention Center featured some fantastic brands and great panel discussions.

This year, CashColorCannabis worked exclusively with Martez Knox and Bakedbot.ai for both conference days. When not creating content for Bakedbot.ai, we popped in on a few panels. One of our favorite panels was “3 Pathways To Launching A Branded Cannabis Product Without A License” with Laury Lucien. She shared many gems about licensing, the process, and her stories. It was one of the best panels we attended.
40 Tons Brand brought its epic Justice Row display to NECANN. Sponsored by HPI Canna, Justice Row allowed brands like Piff Cloudz, Bakedbot.ai, and 1937 Group to shine. The collab was great for both 40Tons and NECANN

“We are incredibly grateful that NECANN shares our vision of elevating justice-impacted founders,” said Loriel Alegrete, CEO of 40 Tons. “This isn’t about charity. It’s about providing a hand up, not a handout—because these businesses are real, innovative, and profitable. They just need access to the same opportunities as everyone else.”
For Marc Shepard, Co-Founder of NECANN, partnering with 40 Tons was a natural fit. “Since NECANN’s inception, we’ve been committed to supporting social equity companies. Welcoming 40 Tons’ Justice Row to Boston this year is an extension of that mission. Real change happens when we create space for those who have been historically excluded, and we’re proud to be a part of that movement.”
One of my favorite parts of the conference was meeting so many people on the East Coast, whom we usually only speak to through apps. Another was watching Best Dirty Lemonade place 2nd in the “Licensed Facility Beverage” category at the NECANN Cup. Congratulations to Omari and the team.

Our NECANN experience was 10/10: great time, networking, and vibes.
