Once a month, CashColorCannabis will round up a few new releases that deserve a listen. Some will come from names you already know, while others might introduce you to somebody new. Either way, consider this your monthly soundtrack for whatever you decide to roll up.

Big Cheeko x Bruce Kush — Rocky & Bull

Atlanta artists Big Cheeko and Bruce Kush link up for Rocky & Bull. If Big Cheeko isn’t already on your radar, this collaboration gives you a good reason to change that and add another Southern voice to the rotation.
Inspectah Deck — Dragon’s Breath

Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck returns with Dragon’s Breath, a project built for listeners who still appreciate bars first. Deck brings plenty of company with him, with appearances from Raekwon, Cappadonna, Ransom, Skyzoo, KXNG Crooked, Che Noir, Sa-Roc and more.
Nipsey Hussle & Bino Rideaux — PROLIFIC
August 14
One of August’s most anticipated releases pairs unreleased Nipsey Hussle material with longtime collaborator Bino Rideaux. The 15-track PROLIFIC gives listeners another glimpse into the chemistry between the two Los Angeles artists while extending Nipsey’s musical legacy.
Rapsody — God Gotta Afro & Gold Hoops
August 21
Rapsody follows 2024’s Please Don’t Cry with God Gotta Afro & Gold Hoops. The 16-track album arrives after the release of its title track, “God Gotta Afro,” and gives one of hip-hop’s sharpest writers another full project to make her case.
Tobe Nwigwe — THE BRIDGE
August 21
Tobe Nwigwe closes out our list with the 12-track THE BRIDGE. The guest list alone should get your attention. Tobe enlists the likes of Busta Rhymes, Sia, Adekunle Gold, K CAMP, Paul Wall, Jay Electronica, Scarface, Malice, and Jacob Banks to join him in the booth.
